You can still tell us of your travel plans by completing a notification using your NAB Mobile Banking app or Internet Banking.
When you’ve already left the country
When your travel plans change
You can easily edit or delete your existing travel notifications through your NAB Mobile Banking app.
If you didn't complete your travel notification in the NAB Mobile Banking app or don’t have the NAB Mobile Banking app, you can tell us your change of travel plans by:
- Completing a notification through Internet Banking.
- Calling us on 13 22 65.
- Visiting a branch. Find the branch nearest to you.
What countries will you visit?
It’s important to tell us all the countries you plan to visit, including any stopovers. This lets us know where you are and reduces the chance we put a hold on your cards due to suspicious transactions on your account.
Deleting countries in your travel notification
You can do this in your NAB Mobile Banking App in the Where are you going? screen by tapping the grey cross to the right of each populated country.
Making large purchases and using ATMs overseas
The more information we know about your travel plans and how you plan to spend your money, the better we can monitor and make sure your cards are safe and your money is secure.
Location and notifications services
If you turn on location and notification services in your NAB Mobile Banking app Settings, we’ll be able to send you an alert when you’re at the airport to remind you to let us know that you’re leaving the country. That way, we can protect your cards while you’re away. If you do not want to receive these notifications, in your settings select Notifications, and then Turn off the Notifications – Overseas Travel.
Just like the primary cardholder, you’ll need to submit your own travel notification by following the same steps in your NAB App. You can’t submit a travel notification on behalf of the primary cardholder.
Customise your VISA credit and debit card settings
You can customise your Visa card settings so you decide when and how you use your card, including for overseas purchases. If you don’t allow your cards to be used for overseas purchases, you won’t be able to use your card, even if you’ve told us about your travel plans.
