How did we calculate the estimates in your NAB Check In?

How did we calculate your income and spending estimates?

The calculation is based on your Savings and Personal accounts in the last three months with the transaction description ‘Credit or Debit’.

  • Money In is defined based on transaction description with ‘Credit’ in the Savings and Personal accounts in the last three months
  • Money Out is defined based on transaction description with ‘Debit’ in the Savings and Personal accounts in the last three months

How did we calculate the home loan estimate?

The Your Home metric has been calculated for customers who have an owner occupier home loan structured as principal and interest and/or interest only repayments. It includes both fixed and variable loan types. The metric shows a consolidated position for applicable owner occupier split home loans types and split home loans held. The figure is capped at 100%.

Customers who have home loans classified as investment, or who hold BICOE loans, Flexiplus or portfolio loans have been excluded from the calculations. Offset accounts are also not included in the calculation.

How did we calculate your home value estimate?

The median sale price of all transactions recorded during the last 12 month period. Note that sale prices lower than $10,000 and higher than $100,000,000 are excluded from the analysis.
