Responsible for measurement, management and monitoring of the credit and operational risk profile across the NAB group. This covers retail and non-retail credit risk, operational risk, compliance risk and regulatory strategy and affairs.
The Risk team manages the risks that exist in all aspects of our business and the environment in which we operate. They maintain a strong risk governance and oversight framework that originates at Board level and cascades down through the NAB Group.
Risk contributes to NAB’s sustainability and resilience by partnering with the different areas and ensuring the effectiveness and appropriateness of the risk and control environment through the provision of risk insight, appetite and oversight. By providing an active, insightful approach to risk in the business, we can help our people do the right thing by our shareholders, customers and community.

Business Banking and Personal Banking Risk
Supports the success of the Business Banking and Personal Banking divisions and ensures our sustainability by: setting appetite, providing robust oversight and challenge, and delivering value adding insight and advice.
Product and Markets Risk
Responsible for insight, appetite and oversight across the Products and Markets businesses, Group Treasury, and other support units.
Enterprise Services and Transformation Risk
Enables informed decision making through independent oversight and advice throughout Enterprise Services and Transformation area.
NAB Wealth Risk
Responsible for the maintenance and administration of the Wealth Risk Management Framework - the set of inter-related tools, controls and processes used for managing risk for our customers.
