How do I link my Xero accounting data direct to my application?

1. Select the Xero icon on the financial data section of the application. 2. A Xero window will automatically appear. Enter your email address and Xero password and select login. 3. After you successfully log in, the Authorise Application window will appear 4. Go to the dropdown box and select the business that is applying for the loan 5. Select Authorise and you're done

How do I upload my Xero financial information?

1. Log in to your Xero account

2. A Dashboard page will appear

3. Ensure that the account profile is set to the business that is applying for the loan by selecting the

Company Name on the top left hand side of the dashboard

Your Business trading accounts

1. Select Reports tab and select All Reports

2. Go to Detail Reports section and select Account Transactions

3. Go to Account dropdown box and select on your business bank account (under Bank)

4. Set the "From" date to be 365 days ago from today and "To" date to today's date.

5. For example if today is 13th May 2016, the 'From' date is 14th May 2015 and 'To' date is 13th May 2016

6. Select Update

7. Select Export at the bottom right on the page and choose Excel

8. A window browser will appear, select Save As and convert the excel file to CSV (to learn more about this file format, go to 'What is a CSV File')

9. Repeat for other business trading account(s) in your Xero accounting package

Your Balance Sheet

1. Select Reports tab and select All Reports

2. Go to Position Reports section and select Balance Sheet

3. Ensure that Balance Date is current month. If not, select current month and select Update

4. Please ensure the Compare to field is set to Previous Year and Compare Periods field is set at Previous 1 Period. This is the default Xero setting

5. Select Export at the bottom right on the page and choose Excel

6. A window browser will appear, select Save As and convert the excel file to CSV(to learn more about this file format, go to 'What is a CSV File')

Your Profit and Loss

1. Select Reports tab and select All Reports

2. Go to Performance Reports section and select Profit and Loss

3. Go to Show Date Range tab

4. Set the "From" date to be 365 days ago from today and "To" date to today's date.

5. For example if today is 13th May 2016, the 'From' date is 14th May 2015 and 'To' date is 13th May 2016

6. Please ensure the Compare With field is set to None and Compare Periods is set to None.

7. This is the default Xero setting

8. Select Update

9. Select Export at the bottom right on the page and choose Excel

10. A window browser will appear, select Save As and convert the excel file to CSV (to learn more about this file format, go to 'What is a CSV File')

What is a CSV File?

A CSV file looks very similar to excel but without the formatting functions. This reduces the file size so it's smaller to upload and easier for the bank to make assessment of the information provided

How to convert excel to CSV?

To convert the XLS (excel) file to CSV, open the exported excel file, select File and the top left hand side and then select Save As. A window will open, locate 'Save as Type' dropdown box at the bottom of the window and choose CSV (Comma Delimited) (*.csv). Select Save.
