This refund feature is optional but you can enable or disable it by contacting the Merchant Service Centre on 1300 369 852  between 7am–7pm AEST. Make sure you have your Merchant ID and Terminal ID handy before you call. Transaction and terminal refund limits apply.

  1. Press the Menu key on the home screen, press 1 for Transactions, then 4 for Refund.
  2. Input the refund amount and press Enter.
  3. Enter your refund password and press Enter.
  4. Ask your customer to tap, insert or swipe their card, then select their account type, Cheque, Savings or Credit then Enter.
  5. Your customer will need to either sign the receipt or enter their PIN. If your customer enters their PIN, you'll still need them to sign the receipt.
  6. After the customer inputs their PIN and presses Enter, the refund receipt will automatically print for them to sign.
  7. Once the refund has been approved, remove your customer's card if inserted and press Yes after you've verified their signature.
  8. Press Yes to print your customer's receipt.

Important Information:

  • Only refund on to the same card that the original transaction was processed.

  1. Select the Menu button on the home screen.
  2. Choose 2 Refund and press Select.
  3. Enter your merchant password and press OK. Contact the Merchant Service Centre if you've forgotten your password.
    Important Information: For security reasons make sure you change your password regularly.
  4. Enter the refund amount and press OK.
  5. Ask your customer to swipe or insert their card and select their account type, Cheque, Savings or Credit (CHQ, SAV or CR) then press OK.
  6. Your customer will need to either sign the receipt or enter their PIN. If your customer enters their PIN, you'll still need them to sign the receipt.
  7. Remove your customer's card if inserted and press Yes after you've verified their signature.
  8. Once the refund has been approved, press Yes to print your customers receipt.
  9. Your customer will receive their refund within two to four business days for Visa, MasterCard and EFTPOS transactions and up to five business days for UnionPay cards.

Important Information:

  • Only refund on to the same card that original transaction was processed.
