When will I receive my upgraded NAB American Express ® Card?
Do I need a new PIN?
No, the PIN number you have for your existing NAB American Express Card will still be valid.
I don’t know my PIN, how do I get a new one?
You can get a PIN by calling 13 22 65 or by visiting your nearest branch.
Where can I use my new NAB American Express Card?
Your new NAB American Express Card will be accepted anywhere that displays the American Express logo.
Can I still use my old NAB American Express Card if it hasn’t expired?
The old NAB American Express Card will still work until the expiry date shown, however we don't recommend you carry two cards. We suggest you destroy the old card by cutting it diagonally through the magnetic stripe.
Can I still sign for transactions made using my new NAB American Express Card?
As your new NAB American Express Card has updated technology, you will need to insert the card into the terminal and enter your PIN to authorise transactions.
Will my recurring payments be affected?
If you have established recurring payments with merchants using your NAB American Express Card (such as gym membership, toll payments etc.) these will continue to be based on the expiry date of your old card. However, we suggest you contact the relevant merchant as soon as possible and tell them the expiry date on your new card.
Can I ‘tap and go’ with my new NAB American Express Card overseas?
Depending on where you are travelling to, terminals may not have been upgraded to accept ‘tap and go’. You’ll be required to either swipe or insert your card subject to the terminal.
What will this mean for my ‘signature only’ NAB American Express Card?
Your new NAB American Express Card will allow for the special arrangement of 'signature only' you requested. Complete a transaction by inserting the card into the terminal and provide a signature when prompted. You will be able to pay for a transaction of up to $100, by tapping your card on the contactless reader, where available.
