How is my balance calculated?

For savings and transactions accounts, your balance may include any uncleared funds. For example, a cheque that has not been cleared will be included in the balance. This means that your balance may be greater than the funds available for you to access, at the time of the alert.

For credit cards, the balance may include transactions that you have made but which have not yet been processed by the merchant's bank. For example, if you buy something today from a shop, your balance alert will include this in the balance displayed even though the transaction has not been finalised and officially processed.

How current is my alert?

Information contained in the NAB Alert will be current at the time we create the alert rather than as at the time of receipt or delivery. If delivery of the message is delayed by your mobile phone provider or email service provider, the balance may be out of date.
