Eligible cards

All NAB personal credit and debit cards are eligible for enrolment in PayPal via the NAB app.
You can enrol more than one eligible card. However, only one card can be set to be your preferred card for online purchases.
You’ll continue to receive the same loyalty rewards your eligible card offers when you checkout online with PayPal.

Protecting your purchases

In addition to NAB’s fraud protection, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, such as your purchase doesn’t arrive or differs from the description, let us know straight away and we’ll investigate it for you.

How to link your card to PayPal

It’s simple to link your NAB card to your PayPal account to buy items online.

Add your preferred NAB card to PayPal in just a few short steps.

  1. Select Cards in the NAB app.

  2. Select a card to add to PayPal.

  3. Review the important information before continuing to PayPal.

  4. Log in to an existing PayPal account if you have one, or Sign Up for a new account.

  5. Review the important information before tapping Connect.

  6. Select your NAB card as the preferred way to pay when you shop online using PayPal.

  7. Card successfully added. You’ll now be able to make online purchases using your NAB card in PayPal.

If you already have an existing card linked with PayPal, you can follow the above prompts to add additional cards if you like. You can select it as your preferred payment method.

Removing or re-adding your NAB Visa card

If you’d like to remove your NAB Visa card from PayPal, follow PayPal’s instructions on how to remove a credit or debit card from your PayPal account, opens in new window.

If your card’s been lost or stolen and you want to re-add a card to PayPal, you need to remove your old card and add your new card using the PayPal app or website.

Security tips

Some helpful tips to ensure the physical security of your device lock screen secure:

  • Never store your device passcode on, or with, the device.

  • Don’t let anyone else register their biometric identifier (eg. fingerprint) to your device.

  • Don’t share your device screen lock passcode with anyone.

  • Choose a passcode that’s easy for you to remember and hard for others to guess.

  • Don’t use the same passcode as you do for your other banking devices or anything obvious like your date of birth.
