Getting started How to apply

Eligibility to apply online

You're 18 years or older.
You're a sole trader, a partner in a partnership, a director of an Australian private company or a trustee of a trust.
Please note, only directors of an Australian private company can apply.
If you’re a private company, you’ll be asked to confirm the details of all directors, beneficial owners and trustees.
You are living in Australia and you are an Australian resident for tax purposes.
Your ABN or ACN is active, unless you are a sole trader with no ABN.

What to expect after you apply

You’ll receive a confirmation email with your application reference number.
If the account isn’t opened within 1–2 business days, we’ll contact you as we may need to verify information, such as your business details.
Once verification is complete, we’ll open your new business bank account.
Your account details will be emailed to your nominated email address.
If you’re a new business customer, your NAB Business ID will be sent via SMS. You can then register for NAB Internet Banking and access your new account via the NAB app.
