Highlights from our climate-related activities and commitments in 2021

  • Financing over 151 renewable energy transactions since 2003. Cementing our role as Australia’s leading arranger of project finance for Australian renewable energy.
  • An additional 2,520MW of installed renewable energy generation capacity through renewable energy projects – including finance for wind and solar assets in Australia, US and the UK.
  • Our current global portfolio of renewable energy projects represents a total generation capacity of 10,516MW. This has been helped by $11.5 billion worth of loans from NAB since 2003.
  • Progressing our 2025 science-based GHG emissions reduction target, delivering an 18% reduction from our 2015 baseline.
  • Increasing our commitment to source our Australian electricity use from renewable energy from 50% to 100% by 2025. We also signed up to the RE100 initiative, which brings together businesses committed to using only renewable electricity.
