Financial benefits

We appreciate and reward our colleagues who do great work every day – from excelling for our customers, to taking ownership of an issue to get it resolved.  Here’s how we support our people with a range of exclusive benefits.

Banking and financial services discounts

We support you in building your financial future. Our permanent colleagues enjoy competitive rates and reduced fees on home loans, investments, credit cards, insurance, financial planning and more. Our Colleague Banking team will help you navigate the range of competitive offers available.

Staff club discounts

The NAB Staff Club is a not-for-profit program giving members an extensive range of benefits, discounted offers and events that you can share with family and friends. These benefits include discounts on gift cards, health and wellbeing brands, home computer purchases and sporting tickets.

Health insurance

The NAB Employees Health Insurance Scheme offers colleagues discounted private health insurance through a number of Australia’s leading health funds. You’ll have access to a wide selection of products and discounted premiums to suit your personal circumstances and life stage.

Reward and recognition

Our recognition and career celebration programs recognise success and say ‘well done’ and ‘thank you’ to our colleagues. We demonstrate genuine appreciation for our people and fairly recognise and reward you for your contribution.

NAB Group superannuation fund

All permanent and fixed term NAB colleagues enjoy the NAB Group Super Fund A as their default fund. This fund has low administration fees, strong long-term performance and flexible insurance arrangements.

Salary packaging

You may be eligible to salary package non-cash benefits such as up to four weeks extra leave per year, motor vehicles, superannuation contributions and car parking. Allocate a portion of your pre-tax earnings for non-cash benefits to meet your lifestyle or financial needs.

Personal and wellbeing benefits

Your job is just one part of your life. Here’s how we support our colleagues to balance their careers and personal lives.

Health and wellbeing

We offer a range of tools, resources, services and programs to help you manage your physical health and mental wellbeing. This includes an Employee Assistance Program, wellbeing initiatives, an influenza vaccination program, and end of trip facilities at selected offices.

Parent, prayer and wellbeing rooms

There are designated wellness spaces in our major buildings. Shared room facilities can be used for breast feeding or expressing. Prayer rooms provide a space to perform your faith’s prayer, and wellbeing rooms with comfortable seating can be used to rest or take medication.

Flexible working

Flexibility is a fundamental part of the way we work. Many of our teams have embraced hybrid working, where our colleagues combine working remotely with coming into the workplace. You’ll work with your people leader to figure out the best working arrangement for you and your role.

Parental support

We support parents in many ways, from flexible work options to various types of leave. We also offer a return-to-work payment to primary carers returning from paid parental leave. Superannuation is paid during both paid and unpaid parental leave.

Leave options

We have many leave options to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. These options include defence leave, disaster leave, lifestyle leave, leave of absence, parental leave, pre-natal leave, religious leave, special leave, sporting activities leave and volunteer leave.

Learning and development

We empower our colleagues to learn, grow and pursue exciting career opportunities. Here’s how we help our people develop the skills, knowledge and abilities they need to succeed.

Performance and development plan

We’ve created a workplace where our colleagues are recognised and fairly rewarded for strong performance.
