Have any questions?
Let's get you sorted

If I purchase NAB Car Insurance, who is my insurer?

NAB Car Insurance is arranged and distributed by National Financial Management Limited, a related body corporate of NAB. We do this on behalf of Allianz, one of Australia’s largest general insurers, who supplies and underwrites this product. This means, if you purchase NAB Car Insurance, and need to make a claim, Allianz are there for you with their 24 hour claims line – helping you get back on track again as soon as possible.

My child is under 25 and has a probationary licence. They drive my car, but aren’t listed as a driver on my insurance policy. Will I have to pay an excess if they have an accident?

If your child was not listed on your policy and had an accident covered by your policy, you may have to pay an ‘Undeclared Young Driver Excess’, plus the ’Basic Excess’, and ‘Age Excess’. If they were listed on the policy, you would not be required to pay the ‘Undeclared young driver excess’.

My child is a learner driver and I want to teach them to drive in the car insured with Allianz. Do I need to inform you?

No. Learner drivers are automatically covered provided the instructing driver meets the policy criteria as set out in your schedule and PDS.

I have bought a new sound system for my vehicle and I want it covered if it gets stolen. What should I do?

To have a non-standard accessory like a sound system covered under your car insurance policy you need to let us know the value of the accessory so that it can be added to your policy schedule. You need to do this for all non-standard accessories (those not fitted by the car manufacturer and modifications that you have made to the vehicle to ensure you are covered in the event of a car insurance claim. Remember to also keep a record of your purchases.

Can a family member enquire or make changes to my car insurance policy?

Unless they are authorised on your car insurance policy, we are unable to provide any information nor can they action any requests on your behalf. Please contact our staff on 13 29 28 to discuss what is involved in providing them access to your car insurance policy.
