Open the NAB app and tap Cheque Deposit from the More menu.
Open the NAB app and tap Cheque Deposit from the More menu.
Select your transaction account and enter the cheque deposit amount.
Scan the front and back of the cheque.
Validate the deposit details and tap Confirm cheque deposit. Once you receive a receipt you’re done. Remember to hold onto your cheque for 10 business days.
Any of your transaction accounts that appear when you select the Cheque Deposit feature are eligible for deposits.
You’re required to keep the physical cheque in a safe place for 10 business days. During this time, if we request the physical cheque, you’ll need to return it to us promptly. After 10 business days, you must securely destroy the cheque. You can do this by shredding the cheque so that the details on the cheque can no longer be read or reconstructed.
Usually 3 business days. It will take a further business day if you submit a cheque after 10pm (AEST/AEDT) or on a day that is not a business day. Before the cheque has cleared, you’ll be able to see a record of the transaction in your account history the next business day (or the business day after that if you submit a cheque after 10pm, or on a day that is not a business day).
No. At this stage, the deposit limit of $1,500 can’t be increased. You’ll need to visit a NAB Smart ATM or a NAB branch to deposit cheques over this limit.
Try depositing the cheque again. If the deposit was successful the first time, you’ll receive a message advising that the cheque has already been deposited and no further action is required. If the deposit wasn’t successful the first time, go through the steps of depositing the cheque again. If this fails, call us on 13 22 65 or visit your nearest NAB Branch for assistance.
Mobile cheque deposits are available on eligible transaction accounts. Not available on certain personal and business accounts including savings, credit card and term deposit accounts. You may submit a total of $1,500 worth of Australian dollar cheques within any 7 day period. Third party cheques are not accepted. An internet connection is needed to access the NAB App and mobile cheque deposits.
Physical cheques must be kept in a safe place for 10 business days. Funds will usually clear and be in your account within three business days unless you submit a cheque after 10PM AEST or on a non-business day. Please read the full NAB Mobile Cheque Deposit terms and conditions.
