We appreciate and reward our colleagues who do great work every day – from excelling for our customers, to taking ownership of an issue to get it resolved. Here’s how we support our people with a range of exclusive benefits.

Here’s how we support our colleagues to balance their careers and personal lives.

Health and wellbeing

We offer a range of tools, resources, services and programs to help you manage your physical health and mental wellbeing. This includes an Employee Assistance Program, wellbeing initiatives, an influenza vaccination program, and end of trip facilities at selected offices.

Parental support

We support parents in many ways, from flexible work options to various types of leave. These benefits are available to all employees regardless of gender and cover biological, surrogacy births and adoption. We offer a return-to-work payment to primary carers, pay superannuation during both paid and unpaid parental leave, and have leave options for non-primary caring parents. We also have a range of support available for colleagues returning to work after parental leave.

Flexible working

Flexibility is a fundamental part of the way we work. Many of our teams have embraced hybrid working, where our colleagues combine working remotely with coming into the workplace. If your circumstances change and you’re dealing with caring responsibilities, looking to study, coming back to work from parental leave or transitioning to retirement, we can help. Our flexible work options include job sharing, working from home, flexible start and finish times and extended leave. You’ll work with your people leader to figure out the best working arrangement for you and your role.

Mental health

We support people leaders and colleagues with training for a mentally healthy workplace. We also train key customer facing colleagues to ensure mental health considerations are taken into account when dealing with customers.

Parent, prayer and wellbeing rooms

There are designated wellness spaces in our major buildings. Shared room facilities can be used for breast feeding or expressing. Prayer rooms provide a space to perform your faith’s prayer, and wellbeing rooms with comfortable seating can be used to rest or take medication.

Leave options

We have many leave options to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. These options include defence leave, disaster leave, lifestyle leave, leave of absence, parental leave, pre-natal leave, religious leave, special leave, sporting activities leave and volunteer leave. We also offer an extra week of paid leave called You Leave (where eligible & in addition to annual leave). In addition, we provide gender affirmation leave to support an employee's transition to another gender.

Learning and development

We empower our colleagues to learn, grow and pursue exciting career opportunities. Here’s how we help our people develop the skills, knowledge and abilities they need to succeed.

Performance and development plan

We’ve created a workplace where our colleagues are recognised and fairly rewarded for strong performance. To set you up for success, it's important you know how well you're performing, the skills you need to build, and how you can succeed for the future. You'll work with your people leader to develop a performance scorecard and an Individual Development Plan.
