We've got plenty of policies and tools in place to support you if you decide to start a family or add to your family.
Policies
If you're a new parent, we offer a whole year of parental leave – with 12 weeks of that leave being paid. So that both parents can spend time with their newborn, we offer two weeks secondary carer's leave, which can be taken at any time over the first year.
While you're off looking after your little one, you'll accrue long service leave for up to 40 weeks of the unpaid portion parental leave period on your return to work. You'll receive super contributions for the same 40 weeks, as well as a remuneration review so you can keep being paid fairly. This is in addition to the accrual of long service leave and superannuation for the paid portion of your leave.
Tools and resources
Our tools and resources are just as valuable to new parents. Our parental leave toolkit gives you plenty of information to help make the transition from work to parental leave, and back again. And while you're away, a newsletter will keep you in the loop about what's happening.
When it's time to come back to work
Our social networking group can help you ease back in, connect with other parents and share tips to make life easier. You can still keep the kids close by, too – with established childcare facilities at, or near, some of our major office locations, and discounted childcare with a number of providers.
If you're juggling a family as well as a career, we’re happy to look at ways of working that make it possible to balance both. And there are many flexible working practices available to help with that.
After all, we want our employees to be their best, no matter what stage they're at in life.
