Khan Horne

Khan has been with NAB for over 30 years since he joined as a NAB graduate in Gunnedah in 1992. Khan was born and raised in Grafton and remains heavily involved in the family farm — a commercial Angus herd located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.

He’s passionate about regional Australia and the role agriculture plays in the economy. Khan has a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Finance from the University of New England. His previous roles include Agribusiness General Manager and Northern NSW State Business Banking Executive and 11 years as the Agri GM.

As R&A Executive, Khan is deeply committed to NAB’s regional and agribusiness customer base, one of the largest and most diverse in Australia. He is dedicated to ensuring the approximately 650 R&A colleagues, across 120 locations nationally are the best in the business.

Naomi Stuart

Naomi joined NAB in October 2019 as Regional Customer Executive for the ACT and Southern NSW.

Naomi has over twenty years’ experience in the finance, investment and accounting industries. She began her career at PwC before returning to regional Australia where she has worked in both government and corporate. She has a passion for regional communities, agriculture and innovation and is actively involved in the family farming business.

Naomi holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment from FINSIA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Joe Paparella

Joe became Regional Customer Executive for SA / NT Regional and Agribusiness in July 2018. He is responsible for a team that spans regional South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Joe has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry in SA / NT, leading teams in retail banking, business banking and agribusiness banking.

Joe enjoys building trusted relationships with customers and has a strong focus on the community sector. He has volunteered substantial time to support and work with organizations in this sector and is also a Justice of the Peace in South Australia.

Peter Steele

Peter Steele became State Business Banking Executive, NSW Regional and Agribusiness in January 2023. He’s responsible for a team of over 150 customer focused business and agribusiness bankers throughout regional NSW. 

Peter began his career in Perth and has 35 years’ experience in the banking industry. He’s worked in four different states in various roles within different sectors of the banking industry including retail, corporate, commercial and agribusiness banking.

His experience has largely been in customer facing (relationship management), project management and people leadership roles.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Business from Edith Cowan University in Perth.

Jeff Pontifex

Jeff Pontifex became Regional Customer Executive of Regional and Agribusiness WA in January 2019 after an extensive financial services career with other financial intuitions.

He has a strong regional background. He grew up on a broadacre farm in the central wheatbelt and has lived and worked in many regional WA locations. Jeff has over 30 years’ financial services experience including corporate and middle market businesses. Through his vast and varied career he has gained significant insight into a range of industries including agribusiness, services to mining and oil and gas, advanced manufacturing, transport, importers and exporters.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Business, Accounting and Finance from Edith Cowan University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Nigel Rumble

Nigel became the State Business Banking Executive for Regional and Agribusiness in March 2023, leading a team of 120 bankers across Victoria.

Nigel began his career in his hometown of Lismore in Northern Rivers, NSW, in the local NAB retail branch, and now has over 28 years’ experience in the banking industry. He’s worked in various roles including retail, business diversified lending, health, broker and agribusiness banking.

His experience has largely been in customer facing (relationship management) and people leadership roles.

Supporting business in regional and rural Australia is important to Nigel. He is an active member of the communities he works and lives in and is involved with several committees on sporting clubs and business chambers.

Nigel holds a Professional Banking Fundamentals Qualification from FINSIA in association with the Chartered Banker Institute (UK).

Alison Blanshard

Alison has been with NAB since 2017 and is the current State Business Bank Executive. She has over 20 years’ banking experience, with exposure to global markets, agri banking and people management.

Alison is passionate about regional Australia and considers the financial sector to play an imperative role in the overall success of the local community. As a leader at NAB, she believes in promoting a culture of collaboration and inclusion, with a strong focus on the wellbeing and development of her team.

Prior to joining NAB, Alison worked at CBA for 17 years and studied Commerce and Finance at the University of Sydney.
