Steps for creating a customised daily settlement report in NAB Gateway

NAB Gateway has some standard reports that you’ll find under ‘Available Reports’. If you don’t find one that suits your exact needs, you can create a customised recurring (daily) report.

  1. Sign into the NAB Gateway portal.
  2. From the left navigation panel, select ‘Reports’.
  3. Under ‘Downloadable Reports’, select ‘Available Reports’.
  4. In the upper right corner, select ‘Create Custom Report’.
  5. Under ‘Basic Report set up’:
    • select the file format (e.g. as CSV or XML only)
    • select the Frequency as - Recurring report subscription
    • give the report a Name
    • select the Report type as Transaction Request Report
    • select the frequency from the drop down (e.g. Daily, weekly, Monthly)
    • select the time zone (scroll down for Australia/Melbourne - (GMT+10:00) Australian Eastern Standard Time)
    • enter the start time as 10.00pm (NAB Settlement time is 10pm Melbourne Time).
  6. Under ‘Advanced Report Features’:
    • tick the Display Credit Amounts as negative
    • select the naming convention (i.e. the default is SOAPI)
    • select the following under ‘Application’:
      1. credit card credit
      2. credit card settlement
      3. voided transactions.
    • select the Payment channel (you must leave this section blank).
    • select the applicable Connection Method (e.g. for MOTO customers, you select ‘Virtual Terminal’).
    Under ‘Report Fields’ click ‘Add report fields’ to add customer fields (see Table 1)
    Note: you can rearrange the order of the fields on your report.
  7. Once you are satisfied with your report, select ‘Create’ on the lower right-hand side.
    Note: the report will not appear until the following day as it needs to run overnight.
  8. To access the report from the left navigation panel, select ‘Reports’.
  9. Under ‘Available reports’, select ‘Custom Report and search for your report.
  10. To edit the report, select ‘Report Subscription Management’ and search for the report. 
  11. Select the 3 dots under ‘More’ and select ‘Edit.
  12. Edit the report and press Save to save the updated report.
