NAB backed me back in 2001, taking me on as a graduate, and I’ve been privileged to have had a varied and fulfilling career ever since in both customer (in Business Banking), and behind-the- scenes support roles. How have you made a difference?
In my current role I produce reporting and insights for the home loan process. I work with teams across the bank to identify where we can make things easier, simpler and faster for our customers.
Quality is where a lot of my focus lies and whilst mistakes happen from time to time, we need to treat each one as a learning opportunity. That way, we won’t repeat the mistake and can continually improve for our customers. It’s energising to see data and reports being actively used to prioritise improvement opportunities, then measuring and celebrating the benefit delivered to our customers’ experience.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about continually learning and growing; challenging myself to learn something new every day, and I love sharing what I’ve learnt with others. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and bushwalking. I also play the piano and the organ, both to relax and as part of the band at my church.
