What’s your story?

I moved to Melbourne 19 years ago from sunny California and started with NAB just over a year later. It has been a joy working with some inspiring people throughout my years. The one constant I have found being part of the NAB family are the many opportunities I have been given to grow and succeed.

How have you made a difference?

I was given the chance to move from sales into the technology world. Having a background in sales gave me the ability to take what the customer needed and wanted and use it in my everyday work in my new team. The customer always comes first in everything that we do, which helped when I moved into the call routing area of the team. I took these learnings and used them to help drive changes in the design of NAB’s customer interactions within our telephony system. From redesigning the options that are available to customers when they call through to our call centre, to the way the customer experiences NAB’s information in every call. Many changes we implemented began with a simple question – “how will this affect our customers”?

What are you passionate about?

In my spare time I am an artist, this started back in my youth when I developed interests in photography and painting. I strayed away for many years but found my way back 2015. This is when I devoted my free days to a new project called 1022. Each painting is a practice painting for the next painting, consisting of abstract shapes, hummingbirds and crosses. This allows for the manipulation of paint in fun and fascinating ways. The project is a countdown from 1,022 paintings on canvas with over 140 paintings completed, which form a unique and one-of-a-kind piece of art which are always named by my Facebook community of followers.
