He loves his work in the Village, supporting NAB business customers.
Name: Katrina Spark
Your role: Retail Customer Executive, Tasmania
Region: Hobart, Tasmania
What’s your story?
The Retail Customer Executive role is very diverse and involves backing our people to help customers. The role is unique in the sense that I’m the face of NAB in Tasmania and I’m proud to represent our organisation in such a critical time. Before NAB, I worked at ANZ for 15 years. My husband Kev is from New Zealand and I grew up in Melbourne. We have a daughter, Vivienne, who is three and a son, Roland, who is six. Both our kids were born in Tasmania.
How have you made a difference?
The purpose of the Community Plan is to provide the team with a framework to demonstrate NAB’s vision: To be Australia’s leading bank, trusted by customers for exceptional service. Beyond that, our team’s purpose is: To help local bankers to educate our customers for a better financial future. The Community Plan sets the direction for the way we connect with our communities, the tools and sponsorship available (e.g. volunteering, local sponsorship fund, etc.) to bring it to life and support a consistent application of the tools across the State. Its intention is aligned to our purpose – to ensure the betterment of our communities.
What are you passionate about?
Outside of work I love to be in the outdoors, camping and bike riding with the kids. I’m on the Board of Landcare Tasmania, have embarked on the Tasmania Leadership Program and one day, I aspire to sail around the world!
