What’s your story?
I have been working with NAB indirectly and directly for 7 years now. It’s been an amazing journey from where I started to where I am now. Initially, I had a completely different technical background and started out as a Core Java developer and have felt myself grow continuously through playing with new technologies every day. I’m’ grateful that there are so many opportunities here at NAB to learn and contribute back to the community.
How have you made a difference?
I have always believed in facing your fears, that no one is perfect and that life is always about learning new things. I have a passion for learning Cloud Computing and this passion has led me to facilitate the “Zero to Hero” sessions at NAB. This training is designed for people who are interested at the very basics of what Cloud Computing is and how it helps NAB become a simpler bank. I am proud to be a part of this journey, loving every moment of it.
With all the positive feedback from sessions with Industry Based Learning students and graduates, I have been encouraged to conduct these sessions with WIT, the Girl Geek academy and many more people amongst the NAB community. I have also been part of NAB’s multi-cultural community and organised events to bring people together and celebrate. It all has been very satisfactory experience for me personally and motivates me to come to work every day.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about learning new technologies and everything there is to learn about life. Practicing meditation and yoga regularly is also important to me. I love listening to music, reading books and having fun on the dance floor once in a while. I enjoy spending time with my family and I dream of travelling the world with them. Moving to Melbourne with my family has been a great blessing and the culture at NAB has contributed so much towards my love for this city.
