Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme

Buy your home with as little as 5% deposit for first home buyers and 2% deposit for single parents with no Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

To be eligible you must:

  • not have owned property in Australia before as a first home buyer, or not currently own a home as a single parent

  • be an eligible first home buyer, or a single parent with at least one dependant living with you

  • be an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Resident, aged 18 or over

  • meet property price threshold requirements

  • have a deposit of at least 5% in genuine savings for first home buyers, or 2% in genuine savings for single parents.

First Home Owner Grant

Get access to a one-off grant for the purchase or build of a new home.*

To be eligible you must:

  • not have owned property in Australia before

  • be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of at least 18 years age

  • be an owner-occupier, not a residential investor

  • meet all the eligibility criteria under this scheme.

To be eligible you must:

  • not have owned property in Australia before

  • be an Australian citizen of at least 18 years age

  • not previously had funds released from superannuation under this scheme

  • meet all the eligibility criteria under this scheme.
