In Personal Banking we serve almost 5 million customers. We support their everyday banking and home lending needs, whether it be online, on the phone, or in-person.

Every day we have over 3.2 million customer interactions. This may be in one of our branches, through our contact centres or broker channels or via our digital platforms.

The way in which customers need and want to bank with us is changing. We’re responding to changing customer preferences and are focused on making our digital banking experience simpler and easier.

Corporate and Institutional Banking

Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) provide a range of products and services critical to the success of our Corporate and Institutional customers. We help our customers with debt structuring, funding solutions, transaction banking, research, trading and custodial services.

Our business brings together a wealth of knowledge from various teams including Asset Servicing (custodial services), Client Coverage, Corporate Finance and Markets. Our international branch network (London, New York and Asia) also sit within C&IB. We provide market leading solutions tailored to meet the needs of our customers.

Business and Private Banking

Business and Private Banking focuses on serving the needs of three of NAB's priority customer segments – small businesses, medium businesses and investors. We have a team of close to 6000 people.

Customers are served through an integrated banking model locally led by managing partners in business banking centres and small business customer hubs. This includes specialists in agribusiness, health, government, education, community and franchising (GECF), professional services and commercial real estate. The division also serves high net worth customers through Private Bank and JBWere.

By knowing our customers and their industry, we’ve become key advocates of Australian business. We’re also a trusted partner in providing private banking services to customers through premium wealth strategy, advice and investments.

Technology and Enterprise Operations

Technology and Enterprise Operations combine the core technology, operations and service functions for our Australian-based divisions into a single centre of operational excellence.

Our key services include technology, financial crime operations, cyber security, fraud, data and architecture, enterprise controls, back office processing, property management, procurement, project management and business management.

Risk exists in all aspects of the Group’s business and the environment in which we operate. The Group maintains a strong risk governance and oversight framework that originates at Board level and cascades down through the Group.

The Board and its Risk Committees are responsible for the Group’s risk management framework and for the review and oversight of the Group’s risk profile within the context of the Board’s risk appetite.

This helps our people do the right thing by our shareholders, customers and community to ensure our business is sustainable for the long term.


The Finance division is responsible for NAB Group's finance activities, investor relations, debt funding, interest rate risk management, capital management, global taxation, audit and economic research.

Our people provide this specialist advice and support to our businesses globally. We also manage NAB's liquidity, capital, funding and balance sheet management through Treasury.


UBank is NAB’s digital attacker bank. It’s driven by a largely Sydney-based team of digitally focused, innovative and collaborative people. The team is on a mission to help young Australians better manage their money.

We have over 600,000 customers. Our aim is to support their home ownership and everyday banking needs through great rates and easy-to-use banking products.

We’re an online bank, but we’re backed by NAB. We have the financial strength of one of Australia’s most established banks, but the heart of a fintech that continues to push the boundaries every day for our customers.

Our international businesses

The majority of our financial service businesses operate in Australia and New Zealand, with other businesses located in Asia and the US.

NZ Banking

Our New Zealand banking business operates under the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) brand. It comprises of retail, business, agribusiness, corporate, private banking, wealth and insurance franchises.


We have presence in over six locations in Asia including Hong Kong (SAR of China), Singapore, Japan, China, India and Indonesia. We offer our customers a full suite of banking and financial services ranging from private wealth, investment advisory, to business and institutional banking.
