Support for financial and elder abuse, domestic and family violence

Australian Red Cross Emergency Relief
Provides a small, one-off emergency relief payment to people on temporary visas who have little or no income and are not eligible for Centrelink assistance.

Relationships Australia
Relationships Australia is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides counselling, dispute resolution and support to help people build positive, respectful relationships.

WESNET
WESNET is Australia’s national women’s advocacy body, supporting women and children affected by family violence through programs like Safe Connections.

Centre for Women's Economic Safety (CWES)
The Centre for Women's Economic Safety (CWES) supports women who are experiencing, recovering from or at risk of economic abuse within the context of domestic and family violence.

National Elder Abuse Helpline (1800 ELDER HELP)

A free nationwide legal advice and financial counselling service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

A tool to see what government payments or services you may be eligible for.

Way Forward
Way Forward is a free, not for profit charity that helps people who are struggling with debt. It works directly with creditors to put in place affordable debt management plans. People make one payment to Way Forward which is then disturbed to creditors.


Credit Smart
Credit Smart is an online resource from the Australian Retail Credit Association that helps you understand credit reporting and manage your credit information.

Fitted For Work
For women, non-binary and gender-diverse people looking for assistance with work preparation support.

    RUOK is a suicide prevention charity that aims to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling.


    Headspace
    Headspace provides free online and telephone support and counselling to young people 12 -25 and their families and friends.



    Butterfly National Helpline
    Butterfly National Helpline offers free and confidential support for anyone with concerns about eating disorders or body image issues. 

    Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA)
    PANDA supports families affected by anxiety and depression during pregnancy and early parenthood, and runs Australia’s only National Helpline for perinatal mental health.


    Thirrilli - National Indigenous Critical Response Service (NICRS)
    Thirrili provides emotional and practical support to families impacted by a loss from suicide or other fatal traumatic incidents.



    Suicide Callback Service
    Suicide Line Victoria is a free, 24/7 counselling service available by phone, video, or online, offering professional support to people at risk of suicide, those worried about someone else and individuals bereaved by suicide.

  • Griefline
    Griefline is Australia’s only dedicated grief helpline service that provides counselling support services free of charge to individuals and families.

    Services Australia offers bereavement support, which may include additional or continued payments depending on the assistance received by the deceased or next of kin.

  • My Aged Care
    My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s starting point to plan for someone's aged care journey. It locates government funded services for help around the house or aged care homes.

    Older Person Advocacy Network (OPAN)
    OPAN is a free service that helps older people and their representatives resolve issues with Commonwealth-funded aged care. It provides advocacy, information and education.

    National Dementia Helpline
    The National Dementia Helpline offers counselling, support and practical advice for people with dementia, their families and carers. They provide up-to-date information and connect you to other services.

    Payments, services and support for older Australians and those who care for them.

  • Pregnancy, Birth and Baby
    Pregnancy, Birth and Baby supports parents from pregnancy to preschool, offering expert advice from maternal health nurses and guidance on pregnancy, birth and raising children.
