Adding or removing additional cardholders

There's no charge for adding an additional cardholder to any NAB credit card.

If you already have an additional cardholder you’ll need to arrange for them to be removed first.

An additional cardholder gets a card(s) and PIN(s) that enable access to your credit card account, and any other accounts that you have linked to it. They will be able to view and manage the card(s) through the NAB Mobile Banking App and NAB Internet Banking. If you request that the additional cardholder has access to your credit card account in NAB Internet Banking they will be able to view your credit card transactions.

An additional cardholder must be at least 16 years old.

As the primary cardholder, you are responsible for all use of the account, including transactions made by the additional cardholder.

Add an additional cardholder online

The easiest way to add an additional cardholder is through NAB Internet Banking.

  1. Login and select My cards
  2. After selecting the card, click Add an additional cardholder

Other ways to add an additional cardholder

You can download and complete the Additional credit card request form (PDF, 275KB). You can return this to us:

  • in person at any NAB branch
  • by emailing it to credit.card.maintenance@nab.com.au
  • by posting it to:

It can take about two weeks to add the additional cardholder to your account. We'll send the new card to the primary cardholder's address or nominated branch.

If the additional cardholder isn't already a NAB customer they’ll need to visit a branch to provide proof of identity. Suitable ID includes their passport, birth certificate, or driver's license and Medicare card.

Remove an additional cardholder

Just give us a call on 13 22 65 from 8am-7pm Mon - Fri, or 9am-6pm on weekends (AEST/AEDT) - we’ll get them removed immediately.

If possible, you’ll need to retrieve the cards from your additional cardholder and destroy them by cutting through the chip, magnetic strip and security code.
