If you’re an existing NAB customer, save time by using your NAB ID to:

  • pre-fill personal details
  • pre-fill NAB financial details.

If you’re a new customer and don’t have a NAB ID you can still apply online.

Have these items ready

  • Your NAB ID (located on the back of your NAB card or in your NAB app through My Details).

  • Driver’s licence number (if you have one).

  • Employment details for the past three years.

  • Your financial information, including income, assets, debts and expenses.

You can upload your supporting financial information documents in the application form. If you can’t upload your documents, the confirmation email we send will outline other ways you can provide the documents.

Eligibility Check you're eligible to apply online

  • You're 18 years or older.

  • You're applying on your own. Joint applicants can apply in person at your nearest branch.

  • You're receiving a regular income.

  • You're an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or non-resident holding an acceptable Temporary Residency Visa.

Getting started How to apply for a NAB Personal Loan

Applying online is quick and easy.

  1. Submit your application: Get a decision on conditional approval in under 60 seconds. If conditionally approved, we’ll give you your indicative interest rate and repayment amount.

  2. We’ll verify your information: Depending on your circumstances, we may do other checks and contact you for further information.

    If approved, we’ll give you your final interest rate and repayment amount in your loan documents.

  3. Accept your offer: If you accept the offer, we’ll transfer the money into your most frequently used NAB account on the day that you accept the offer. If you don’t have a NAB account, we’ll contact you to organise the transfer.
