Meet Anthony

Name: Anthony Gualtieri

Your role: Manager, Sourcing Execution

Region: Docklands, Victoria

What’s your story?

I’m a Melbourne boy, born and raised in the North-Western suburbs. From a young age I was exposed to business and how it works, my dad migrated to Australia and started a retail business which was a big part of my life growing up.

In my work life, I think my migrant roots give me perspective and my family business upbringing helps give meaning to my work. For this reason, NAB’s values and purpose really resonate with me and my story.

How have you made a difference?

As a Procurement Manager, I’m able to make a difference for our customers by working with our partners and suppliers to improve our service offerings, whether that is by adopting new technology, reducing pricing or various other means.

As a People Leader, I get the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals by providing support and encouragement in the workplace. I get a real buzz out of helping people realise their own potential and watching them grow. When that culminates in some sort or recognition or promotion for that person, I feel like a proud parent.

What are you passionate about?

Outside of work, I’m really passionate about sport, particularly the AFL - I’m a die-hard Western Bulldogs fan. It’s amazing how sport can evoke such a wide range of emotions even from those who are less expressive. Sport can unite people and I’m proud of NAB’s support of sport, particularly of NAB AFL Auskick.
