What’s your story?
Originally from New Zealand and as the eldest child of two Bankers, it seemed banking was in my blood. While living in New Zealand, I worked for Westpac and then I moved to Melbourne in 2007 and have worked for NAB ever since. I owe a lot to NAB both professionally and personally (having met my now wife here!).
How have you made a difference?
As the Risk Partner supporting one of our seven Customer Journeys, I work with the team to deliver positive and impactful improvements to the everyday banking experience of our customers.
Risk processes can often be thought of as a challenging hurdle for change delivery but by being “on the ground” and part of the Journey team every day – we can identify potential issues early and help design solutions and controls which protect the bank while delivering an enhanced experience for our customers.
What are you passionate about?
I am a firm believer of not resting on your laurels so I’m passionate about improving the way I work and also the processes around me. At home, my number one focus is on ensuring my wife, who has been chronically ill and unable to work for a number of years, has the support needed to improve her health while still taking time to enjoy life’s special moments.
