Name: Dale Pattison
Your role: Associate Director, Corporate Health
Region: Melbourne, Victoria
What’s your story?
I grew up in the country and moved to Melbourne for university when I was 17. In 2007, I was lucky enough to travel overseas to the United Kingdom where I met my wife. We then travelled to the United States as this is where she is from. Even after all of this travel and the amazing experiences we had, I always came back to Melbourne.
My parents met in the 1970s working at the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, which became NAB in 1982. I didn’t plan on it when I was at university, but I ended up starting at NAB and haven’t looked back since.
How have you made a difference?
I joined to NAB to help grow the NAB Health Corporate team, and have loved every minute of it. Aside from our business growing, I’ve loved how we jointly developed an amazing team culture where we all look after each other and have each other’s backs, supporting each other when the workload is high, and celebrate every success. I also love my customers. It’s very special working in the healthcare sector as I truly feel that I’m making a difference. I’m so proud that I get to help build and support customers who care for the ill every day.
What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about my job. I love everything about it, from the people I work with, to the customers I work alongside. I’m also passionate about my family and friends, and spending as much quality time with them that I can. I also love the Essendon Football Club, although it has been tough post 2012; it’s great to be on the other side of it now. I think one of the other reasons I love working at NAB is that our colours are red and black!
