Jess helps customers buy their new home. We spoke to Jess about her home town Echuca, her family and the importance of a home cooked meal.

Your role: Lead, Continuity and Incident, NAB Assist

What’s your story?
I completed my university degree in Software Engineering back in 2006 and was recommended to join NAB. Rather than getting a role that matched my degree, I enjoyed the people and culture so much in NAB Assist that I haven’t left! Using my engineering mind and my NAB Assist experience, I now manage incidents that impact our customers, staff and processes.
How have you made a difference?
In my role I try to make a difference by allowing everyone in NAB Assist to continue to make their difference. On any given day, this could range from assessing natural disaster events where our customers may be impacted and need financial assistance; system issues to help our people ensure customers are impacted as little as possible; or just clarifying what enterprise issues may be impacting our team and translating them into “what this means for us”. My goal is to always make sure people know the right details and choose the right actions to keep NAB Assist efficient and effective for our customers.
What are you passionate about?
In my spare time, I love any sporting event I can get to and reading about the latest technology that I dream of being able to afford
