Name: Han Goh
Your role: Senior Analyst, Data, Analytics & Reporting
Region: Docklands, Victoria
What’s your story?
I was born and raised in Malaysia where I worked in my first job as a piano teacher for five years. I came to Melbourne back in 1994 to explore the completely different field of Finance. I believe my interest in puzzles came from the thrill of unravelling maths problems in school. To this day, I still feel the greatest satisfaction when I am performing analysis and solving complex problems.
How have you made a difference?
I have worked at NAB for 15 years and have been lucky to be involved in various major projects across Cards, Systems Accounting and the Information Analytics Platform. The best experience I’ve had was when I was a consultant on a project dedicated to building, testing and implementing various payment systems for UBank. The system is now integrated into NAB’s payment and financial systems.
What are you passionate about?
A picture speaks a thousand words. Photography is a passion that has enriched my life outside of work as it allows me to be creative and look at things differently. It started when I first saw a macro photo of a spider, it had a clear view of its eyes, and I asked myself, “How can I take an amazing shot like this?” My passion has since grown beyond macro photography, through the lenses, I get to freeze the moment and share it with others.
