What’s your story?

I began at NAB in January 2016. When it came to looking for a new job, my experience in a wide range of industries helped fuel my desire to get a job that offered growth and development. NAB has given me this and so much more. I started in the drawdown team and was made full-time within my first year. When this function was restructured, I made the decision to move into Fulfilment as a subject matter expert.

Since starting at NAB I feel that I have not only developed professionally but in my personal life too. Outside of work, I have moved in with my partner and hope to be married in the next few years. I have started my own business, something that NAB enabled me to do through a flexible working environment. The bank is the first organisation that I have worked for where I strongly believe that it can give me more than I can give in return.

How have you made a difference?

In the last two years I have been given the opportunity to give back to the organisation that has given me so much. I have taken the lead in designing a new process for quality control in NAB Broker Fulfilment; this allowed us to reduce risk events in our space by 75%. The process was so effective that it was expanded to cover all major complaint points in the Fulfilment process. At the same time, I developed the initial process for reviewing NAB Broker offset accounts and provided ongoing support to the project. In recent months I have assisted a project team looking to streamline the NAB Broker process; this has involved developing process flows from scratch which saves money and fosters a greater customer experience.

What are you passionate about?

I have done all of this because I am passionate about getting things right for our customers the first time and every time after that. As one of the major banks, I feel that NAB has a responsibility to our customers and the wider community. I know I play a small role but despite that, I know my every action has a consequence for a real person in the real world. Although I may never meet these people, I have a real passion for them. I want to provide them with a seamless service that gives them confidence in their financial institution.
