Jilll lives in London and has worked for NAB since 2004.
Name: Marion Turner
Your role: Team Leader, Customer Solutions
Region: Rhodes, New South Wales
What’s your story?
I was 15 years old when I got my first job at McDonald’s. Little did I know that I would stick around for 13 years and that I would learn so much about customers and different management styles in that time.
Three years ago, I took the plunge and applied for a job with NAB. I was incredibly nervous about leaving my role at McDonald’s however I backed myself because of my interest in finance. I’m so glad that I took the chance and that I was bold enough to make that move. Reflecting on my three year journey with the bank, I feel as though I have achieved a lot. I was a senior banker for one and a half years, and during my time in Mortgages in 2017 I received two quarterly awards because of my efforts to live the NAB values. I feel very grateful and proud to work for this organisation.
How have you made a difference?
For me, I believe that I have made a difference by doing the right thing by my customers, making an effort to understand their journey and story to better help them with achieving their dreams and goals. NAB’s values empower our people to have a positive mindset and a passion for their work and the people they come across in their job, including customers and colleagues. Building relationships with my colleagues has been very important to me throughout my career.
What are you passionate about?
I love to have fun with family and friends. I enjoy eating and cooking amazing food and having BBQs with those I am close to. I love watching the NRL and am a big Cronulla Sharks fan. I am very fit and healthy. I love to go bushing walking on weekends and being active outdoors. I do lots of camping, fishing and swimming too. Lastly, I love animals – I have two dogs, two birds and one cat.
