Meet Nassim

Name: Nassim Izadi

Your role: Consumer Sales Leader

Region: Docklands, Victoria

What’s your story?

I was born in a beautiful city named Shiraz in Iran. When my family decided to move to Australia, I was only 8 years old. With English being my second language, public speaking quickly became a big fear of mine growing up. In 2013, I graduated from my Business Marketing degree and kick started my career at NAB. Throughout my journey at NAB I've been very fortunate to have leaders who saw my potential and pushed me to take on roles where I would need to speak in front of groups. These experiences gave me confidence and self-belief. I also found helping, coaching, leading and inspiring others around me is a passion of mine. This passion has helped me to overcome my lifelong fear of speaking up.

How have you made a difference?

At the beginning of 2017 I was faced with a challenge in a new role when I had to train a whole team of new entrants to NAB Consumer Sales. By creating a safe and trusting work environment for my people every day, we built a team culture which brought their courage and unique personalities to NAB which in turn drove the success of the team.

What are you passionate about?

Nothing is more fulfilling than being a part of seeing someone grow and develop, not just in the office, but in achieving personal milestones as well. As a leader at NAB I feel blessed to come into work each day with the mindset of inspiring people and bringing out the best in them. I’m also proud to share my customer stories with my team so as a team we can continue to understand how we make an impact on their journey and how important it is to support their goals.
