Meet Nikola

Name: Nikola Zaorska

Your role: Senior Consultant, Culture

Where: Docklands, Victoria

What’s your story?

I’d describe myself as a thinker, creative and always see the good in people. My degree is in Psychology and Languages.

I joined NAB 15 years ago so that our customers whose preferred language isn't English could connect with us. My focus over the last ten years has been on risk culture.

How have you made a difference?

If a customer has a problem, whether it’s a business, friend or family, I can’t help but take it personally. I try to find the person who can help.

NAB has supported me with flexibility to balance career, study and the needs of my young family; to contribute to the community through volunteering for not-for-profit organisations; and to pursue my vision, which is to help people make good decisions.

I have achieved more than I believed I could because leaders have trust in me to make a difference.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about creating a better future.

Day to day, it’s passion for my children: cultivating the skills they’ll need to be good citizens - creativity, courage, kindness.

And through our culture at NAB, it’s ensuring that when we make a decision today, we think about what it means for the future.
