He turned a concrete moonscape into a blooming native garden

What’s your story?
In 2006 I accidentally stumbled upon a finance news channel and saw a presenter talk about the share market going gangbusters. I said to myself “oh gosh, this seems so exciting, I want to be on TV and talk about investing!”
After that light bulb moment I completed a Diploma of Journalism in 2007 and went on to work for several publications. In 2014, my exact dream came true when I was offered a job by nabtrade to manage editorial content and conduct video interviews.
How have you made a difference?
In August 2017, right around the time that the NAB purpose was revealed, I was asked by a long-term customer if nabtrade would help his business launch a new global equities fund on the ASX. I spoke to my managers about it and we all agreed that it was the perfect opportunity to ‘back the bold’. We worked collaboratively with the customer on the journey to launch the fund. I’m thrilled that we celebrated the successful listing of the fund on the ASX in December 2017 and that nabtrade played an instrumental role in helping bring this IPO to life.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about working for NAB. It’s a wonderfully inclusive and fun place to be, and it’s an honour being part of the nabtrade mission to help Australians become better investors.
Other than that, I enjoy beer and exercise (not at the same time, though). I also love travelling to Canada because it’s an extraordinarily beautiful place and easy to fit in with the locals if you’re a fan of dad jokes and lame puns as I am.
