Taking payments via phone on EFTPOS terminal Ingenico

To take phone transactions/payments you'll need to have manual key entry function setup. To setup this function, you'll need to apply by calling our Merchant Service Centre on 1300 369 852 available 24/7. Make sure you have your Merchant ID and Terminal ID handy before you call.

We recommend you don't manually enter card details without first swiping or inserting the card in the card readers. You'll need your customer's signature if you choose this function. You'll also be charged a fee for this type of transaction.

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press 1 to select Transaction.
  3. Press 7 to select MOTO.
  4. Enter your sale amount and press Enter.
  5. Enter your customer's card number and press Enter.
  6. Enter the card expiry date in MMYY format and press Enter.
  7. Enter CCV number from the back of the card or press Enter to select appropriate option.
  8. Select MOTO Type (1. Telephone Order. 2. Mail Order. 3. Internet Order).
  9. Select MOTO Transaction Frequency/Type (1. Single, 2. Recurring and 3. Instalment).
  10. Press Enter to confirm the transaction.
  11. Once the approval displays one your screen your receipt will print.
  12. Press Yes to print your customer their receipt.

  1. Enter your sales amount.
  2. Key in the card number, then press Select.
  3. Enter the card expiry number, then press Select.
  4. Key in CCV number - leave blank if you don't have it, and press Select. (This option will only be displayed if CCV has been activated on the terminal. To turn on, call our Merchant Service Centre on 1300 369 852 available 24/7 doesn’t prompt on the VeriFone) Only available if set-up.
  5. Select 3-CR.
  6. Answer Yes for the signature question.
  7. Your transaction will automatically process.

(If CCV isn’t activated on the terminal option 4 doesn’t display).

Void the last transaction on an EFTPOS terminal Verifone

  1. This function allows the last performed transaction to be cancelled and is an optional feature that can be enabled/disabled by calling Merchant Services. A void transaction will not appear on the Merchant Statement, Settlement report or cardholder's statement.
  2. Press the Menu button on the home screen.
  3. Select 16. Other Transactions and press Select.
  4. Select 1. Void and press Select.
  5. Enter the merchant password and press OK.

Void the last transaction on an EFTPOS terminal Ingenico

  1. This function allows the last performed transaction to be cancelled and is an optional feature that can be enabled/disabled by calling Merchant Services. A void transaction will not appear on the Merchant Statement, Settlement report or cardholder's statement.
  2. Press the Menu button on the home screen.
  3. Select 3 for Batch then 5 for Void Last.
  4. Review the transaction details and press Enter to confirm.
  5. The merchant copy of the voided receipt will print automatically.

Processing a cash out transaction on an EFTPOS terminal Verifone

The cash out feature is available on debit (cheque and savings) accounts only for EFTPOS transactions. It is an optional feature that you may enable or disable by contacting the Merchant Service Centre.

  1. Press the Menu button on the home screen.
  2. Enter 7. Cash Out and press Select.
  3. Enter the required cash out amount and press OK.
  4. Prompt the customer to swipe or insert their card.
  5. Prompt the customer to select the account. Only CHQ or SAV can be chosen.
  6. Prompt the customer to enter their PIN and press OK.
  7. An acknowledgement will be displayed once the cash out has been approved.
  8. Remove the card from the terminal and provide the customer with their card.
  9. Press Yes if the customer requires a receipt.
