Taking payments via phone on EFTPOS terminal Quest

To take phone transactions and payments you'll need to have manual key entry function setup. 

To setup this function, you'll need to apply by calling our Merchant Service Centre on 1300 369 852 available 24/7. Make sure you have your Merchant ID and Terminal ID handy before you call.

You can also see if you have this function in the pricing schedule found in your letter of offer.

We recommend you don't manually enter card details without first swiping or inserting the card in the card readers. You'll need your customer's signature if you choose this function. You'll also be charged a fee for this type of transaction.

  1. Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Transaction”.
  2. Select “Key Entry / MOTO”.
  3. Enter the sale amount using the number keys on keypad and press the ENTER key or press “Confirm MOTO”.
  4. Enter Card Number, Expiry Date and CVV.
  5. Select a reason if CVV is not entered, then select “Next” to proceed or “Back” to Card Number, Expiry Date.
  6. Select “MOTO” type, to proceed to process payment or “Cancel” to previous screen.

How to view a past transaction

  1. Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Transaction”.
  2. Select “Past Transactions”.
  3. Scroll through the transaction list to find the transaction you wish to view/print.
  4. Select the transaction.
  5. Select “Merchant” or “Customer” to reprint the transaction receipt.
