Settlement is the transfer of funds received from EFTPOS, NAB Debit card and credit card payments into your business transaction account. This is the process you must complete at the end of each day so you can be paid for your transactions.

Setting up manual settlement on EFTPOS terminal Quest

  1.  Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Settlements”.
  2. Select “Manual Settlement”, then “Settle Now”.
  3. Machine will print Settlement receipt with a prompt to print transaction list.
    Note: If settlement has already happened, “Already Settled” will display on the terminal screen. If auto settle is turned on, you will not be able to perform a manual settlement until this is turned off.
  4. Press “Print Summary” to print the settlement receipt.
  5. Press the print icon in the top right corner to print the matching transaction listing.
    Note: A message will let you know how many transactions are about to be printed. The Print icon will only be displayed if transaction exist for that day.
  6. Press “Yes” to confirm printing, or “No” to cancel printing the transaction listing.

Important:

  • You can only settle manually when auto-settlement is disabled on your terminal.
  • Your terminal settles once within 24 hours at 9.30pm AEST. This is a default time setup by your technician, but you can change this by following our steps on automatic settlements of your terminal.

Setting up and disabling auto-settlement on Quest EFTPOS terminals

  1. Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Settlements”.
  2. Select “Auto-Settlement”.
  3. You can turn on (enable) or turn off (disable) auto settlement. To enable, select “Choose a different time” to set a time.
  4. You can turn on (enable) or turn off (disable) automatic printing of the transaction list after successful auto settlement.

Pre-settle on Quest EFTPOS terminals

  1. Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Settlements”.
  2. Select “Pre-Settlement”.
  3. The Settlement summary displays on the terminal screen with a choice to print the pre-settlement receipt.

Note: Press the print icon in the top right corner to the pint the transaction listing for the pre-settlement summary.
