How to set up refunds on your Quest EFTPOS terminal

This refund feature is optional, but you can enable or disable it by contacting the Merchant Service Centre on 1300 369 852 between 7am–7pm AEST. Make sure you have your Merchant ID and Terminal ID handy before you call. Transaction and terminal refund limits apply.

  1. Press “Merchant menu” on screen, then select “Refunds.”
  2. Enter the refund password and press the ENTER key or press “OK” on screen.
  3. Enter the refund amount using the number keys on keypad.
  4. Press ENTER key or press “Confirm Refund” on screen.
  5. Ask the card holder to TAP, INSERT, or SWIPE.
  6. On the PIN entry screen, ask the customer to enter their PIN and press ENTER.
  7. Once processed, terminal will display response (Approved/Declined) on screen.
  8. The terminal will print the Merchant receipt with a prompt to print a customer copy.

Important Information: Only refund on to the same card that the original transaction was processed.
