Follow these instructions to send money to another Australian bank account.

iOS

  • 1

    Step 1

    Log into the NAB app on your device.

    Step 2

    Tap Transfer & pay at the bottom.

  • 3

    Step 3

    Tap the account you want to transfer from.

  • 4

    Step 4

    Tap Pay anyone.

  • 5

    Step 5

    Select a saved payee, or tap +BSB & Acc if it’s your first time paying someone.

    Enter the payee’s Account name, BSB number, and Account number.

  • 7

    Step 7

    You can Save payee and add a nickname to make future payments quicker.

  • 8

    Step 8

    Add a Reference (optional), then tap Continue.

  • 9

    Step 9

    You’ll receive a security code via SMS or push notification. Enter the security code and tap Continue.

    Step 10

    The payee is now added. Enter the Amount, Reference and Description (optional).

    Pay when is set to today by default. To schedule a later payment, tap Pay when. Tap Next to continue.

    You may receive a protect yourself from fraud message if your payment has indications of a potential scam. You can review the details before you continue, change or cancel your payment.

    Carefully check all details are correct, then tap Pay now.

    Authorise the payment by entering your password or passcode.

  • Complete

    You’ll see a payment receipt. Tap Share receipt to send to the payee for their records.

Android

    Tap Transfer & pay in the menu.

    Tap the account you want to transfer from.

    Enter your 8 to 10-digit user ID, and your password. Then select Login.

    Once you've logged in, select Transfer & Pay, then 'Pay Anyone' from the drop-down menu.

    Select the account to transfer from, in the drop-down menu.

    Select the account transfer to, in the drop-down list or enter the payee details.

    Enter the transfer amount, description and remitter name (that’s you).

    Select the transfer frequency as a one off or recurring payment.

    Select a transfer date, either the current or a future date.

  • 8

    Select if you would like an SMS notification of this payment to be sent to either yourself or the payee.

    Select Next.

    You may receive a protect yourself from fraud message if your payment has indications of a potential scam. You can review the details before you continue, change or cancel your payment.

    Check the funds transfer details are correct.

  • 12

    Step 12

    You’ll receive a security code via SMS or push notification. We may also ask you to enter your NAB Internet Banking password into the field.

    Step 13

    Select Submit.

  • Complete

    You have now transferred money within Australia.
