Using Pay Anyone in Branch | Terms and Conditions - NAB
We rely on your payment instructions
You’re responsible for ensuring all payment details are correct, including whether the payee owns the account you are transferring money to.
Confirmation of Payee may provide you with a view on the likelihood that the account name you provided matches the account you provided.
If you use PayID, we’ll tell you the name associated with the PayID you provided. If the account name or PayID name isn’t right or you don’t recognise it, you should confirm the account details with the payee before proceeding.
Once you confirm the payment instruction, you won’t be able to cancel it.
The Payee name does not form part of your payment instruction
We’ll process the payment only using the BSB and account number or PayID you provide. Make sure these details are correct, or your money will be paid to the wrong account, and you may lose your funds.
Your payment will usually be processed as a Fast Payment
We’ll usually process your payment as a Fast Payment as soon as practicable after you confirm it. If the payee doesn’t accept Fast Payments, or if the system is down, we’ll process your payment on the same day if before the cut off time, or the next banking day if after the cut off time.
We are not liable for any loss
Unless the ePayments Code says we’re liable for an unauthorised transaction, we’re not liable if you incur any loss (including consequential loss) from or in relation to problems with the information you provide; delays or issues beyond our control; or acts or omission by you or a third party unless it’s a result of our fraud, negligence or misconduct.
Where we say ‘consequential loss’ above, this means any loss or damage suffered by a party which is indirect or consequential, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill or credit, loss of use, loss of data, damage to credit rating, loss or denial of opportunity, or increased overhead costs.
