Statement on the passing of former NAB director David Armstrong

The National Australia Bank Board and Management note the recent passing of former director David Armstrong.

NAB Chair, Philip Chronican said: 

"I am deeply saddened to lose a colleague I had known for nearly 30 years.

“David made a significant contribution to NAB during his 9 year term with the bank from 2014 to 2023. 

“He will long be remembered by management, auditors and his fellow directors for his intellect, strong understanding of banking and capital markets, his integrity and his warmth.

“We express our deepest sympathy to his family, friends and former colleagues".
