After you apply

So what happens next?

Once we’ve received your application, we’ll assess all the information you’ve provided, and let you know the outcome within two business days – usually sooner. But first, check your email.

Check your email inbox, or your secure messages if you applied via NAB Internet Banking. We’ll send you a message straight away to confirm we’ve received your application. We’ll then start assessing your application, and call you if we need to check any details. Otherwise, you’ll receive an email from us within two business days.

Conditional approval

We'll send you an email to let you know if your loan has been conditionally approved - this means it's been approved subject to verifying that information in your application is correct. At this stage we’ll be checking things like payslips, confirming employment, etc.

When we get to this stage, we’ll contact you to let you know what you need to provide. As long as the information you have provided is accurate, your loan will be approved.

Once your loan is approved, we’ll go ahead and prepare your loan documents.

Loan documents

Loan documents usually take one business day to prepare, once your loan has been approved.

In most cases you’ll need to visit the branch you selected in your application to review and sign your loan documents.

If you’re a new customer, you’ll also need to provide identification to satisfy an AUSTRAC 100-point check.

Once these steps are complete, your funds will be deposited into your NAB account or provided as bank cheque(s).
