Name: Danny Makhoul
Your role: Consultant, Digital Adoption
Region: Docklands, Victoria
What’s your story?
I began my career at NAB in the contact centre, working part-time while I was studying a Bachelor’s degree in International Business – I was the first person in my family to graduate from university! I have worked in many different areas within NAB, including teams focused on helping customers in financial difficulty, servicing our business and corporate customers, managing service providers, and delivering on digitisation programs. More recently, I had bold aspirations to follow my passion to move into NAB’s digital space, and in 2018 I took a leap of faith and secured a role in Digital Adoption. In this role, I drive NAB’s digital strategy helping customers along their digital journey.
How have you made a difference?
Throughout my time at NAB, I have played a role in delivering various pieces of work that have made life easier for our staff, optimised how we operate and improved the customer experience. I believe in making bold decisions that are beneficial for our customers and am continually innovating for them. I inspire my colleagues by demonstrating resilience and perseverance to achieve the right outcomes for NAB and our customers.
I am also proud to have played a role in contributing to and supporting the African Australian Inclusion Program (AAIP) which is a fantastic program and an opportunity to give back to the community
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about constantly learning new things and empowering others to develop, grow and achieve their aspirations. I believe that with every challenge and failure there is an opportunity to learn and grow as individuals, which plays a crucial role in not only how we can give back to NAB but also to others.
Outside of work I love soccer both as a supporter and player, having played for many years in the past. I also enjoy travelling and trying new places to eat out with family and friends.
