Our acquisition of Citi’s consumer banking business

In 2022, we announced our acquisition of the Citi consumer banking business in Australia. The integration is a significant step towards a simpler, more digital customer experience.

About the changes

If you previously had a Citi branded deposit, home loan or investment account, your account was closed, and balance transferred to your NAB branded account on 24 February 2024. You can manage your accounts and payments through NAB Internet Banking or the NAB app and use your NAB branded debit card or digital wallet (if applicable) for purchases.

We sent your NAB branded account details and debit card (if applicable) to your registered email or postal address.

If you haven’t already, you should carefully read the ‘Summary of Changes and Variation Notice’ and important information we sent you.

Keeping you safe

If you receive a call from us, we’ll never ask you to verify your identity over the phone, or ask for your credit card number, PIN or NAB Identification Number (NIN). NAB will never send you an email or an SMS asking you to verify your identity by clicking on a link.
