New CIO appointment strengthens NAB Private Wealth investment strategy and client outcomes

  • Key leadership position with new remit across all of NAB Private Wealth, including JBWere 

  • Strong year-on-year growth across NAB Private Wealth, with increases across funds under management, household lending and deposits

  • Integrated and unique Private Wealth offering includes private bankers, wealth advisors, investment specialists, and nabtrade platform

NAB Private Wealth has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of experienced investment executive, Alexandra Campbell, as its new Chief Investment Officer.

Ms Campbell will lead NAB Private Wealth’s, including JBWere, investment strategy across all asset classes, covering all aspects of strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager selection.  

 JBWere funds under management increased 15% to almost $50 billion in the past year. The wealth manager also recently announced clients would gain new customised insights about the risk and return characteristics of their investment portfolios aligned to their goals through a new offering with global asset manager BlackRock.  

Alexandra Campbell will join NAB Private Wealth and JBWere as its Chief Investment Officer.

Ms Campbell brings more than 25 years of experience, spanning private markets, institutional investment and multi-asset portfolio construction. Previously the Deputy Chief Investment Officer & Head of Private Markets for Cbus Super, Ms Campbell is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a large Australian family office where she has built a diversified, high growth portfolio with global exposure. 

NAB Executive, Private Wealth and JBWere CEO Michael Saadie said Ms Campbell’s appointment reflected JBWere’s continued investment in its advisory and investment capability.

“Alexandra has a deep understanding of investment strategy and client objectives, and a proven record of delivering investment outcomes," Mr Saadie said.

“Her leadership will be integral as we enhance the breadth and sophistication of our private wealth offering. The appointment reinforces our commitment to outstanding client outcomes through a unique integrated private wealth and banking platform.”

Ms Campbell said it was a privilege to join NAB Private Wealth.

“JBWere has a long and respected history of partnering with clients to build wealth across generations,” she said. It is exciting to have the opportunity to lead the investment strategy for Australia’s oldest and largest advisory firm and support all Private Wealth clients more broadly.

Ms Campbell will start her new role in 2026.
