The NAB Foundation today announced a $100,000 grant to The Salvation Army in response to the recent natural disasters.
The Salvation Army’s spokesperson Major Warren Elliot said their Emergency Services teams are on the ground responding to the recent disasters, including the Victorian bushfires and floods.
“They are providing immediate support such as meals for first responders and displaced communities,” said Mr Elliot.
“We remain committed to supporting those affected in the coming weeks and for the long haul.”
NAB Retail Banking Executive Paul Carter said acting quickly was essential to ensuring communities receive practical help as soon as possible.
“Victorian communities are dealing with the devastating impacts of these bushfires, and we know recovery can’t wait,” said Mr Carter.
“Behind every headline is a family, a small business and a community club. This funding helps The Salvation Army support communities as they respond to disaster and rebuild for the future.”
“If you’ve been impacted, please reach out to us early. There are ways we can help while The Salvos support on the ground.”
NAB is here to help any customers in need of financial support, including those affected by the recent severe weather impacting communities in Queensland. Assistance may include disaster relief grants, payment pauses, restructuring of loan repayments or temporary relief from existing financial commitments.
