Getting started The application process

Step 1

Check if you’re eligible

  • Have a NAB transaction account. It can’t be a joint account.
  • You’ll need to be at least 18 and a permanent resident of Australia.
  • We’ll run a credit check to make sure we’re comfortable you can make your repayments.

Step 2

Apply in 90 seconds

  • If you’re an existing NAB customer, you can apply in the NAB app. Open the app then search for ‘NAB Now’.
  • If you’re not a NAB customer yet, start your journey by opening a NAB Classic Banking account (you may not be eligible for NAB Now Pay Later immediately after opening your account). Learn more about how to apply for NAB Now Pay Later.

Step 3

Get an instant decision

  • We’ll tell you straight away if your application is successful. Approved account limits are up to $2,000.
  • Once you’re approved, your documents will be available in NAB Internet Banking.
  • Add your NAB Now Pay Later card to your digital wallet and start spending!
