COVID-19 and travel advice warning update
Allianz Global Assistance (AGA) Travel Insurance policies do not cover claims related to COVID-19. In addition, if you travel to a country where the Australian Government has issued “Reconsider your need to travel” or “Do not travel” travel warnings and restrictions, then your claim may not be covered, even if it arises from an event unrelated to COVID-19. Information for customers who purchased travel insurance before 18 March 2020
Eligible customers who purchased travel insurance prior to 18 March 2020 and whose travel plans have been cancelled or shortened due to COVID-19, can request a refund for the unused premium portion.
The quickest way to process your refund is via the COVID-19 Insurance Refund Portal, opens in new window or call 1800 440 806 between Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm (AEST/AEDT) or Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (AEST/AEDT), or email TravelHelpdesk@allianz-assistance.com.au.
