Have any questions?

Let's get you sorted

Can I purchase travel insurance if I’m travelling in Australia?

If you're travelling within Australia, you may wish to consider taking out insurance against domestic flight changes or cancellations, lost or stolen baggage, or car hire excess.

I am currently overseas and have no insurance - can I still purchase a policy?

No. Our policies can only be purchased while you are still in Australia, before you start your journey.

Am I covered if I work overseas?

Our travel insurance is designed for leisure travellers and for people travelling overseas for business purposes. It is not designed to cover events linked to employment overseas. Please refer to the General Exclusions Applicable to all Sections contained in the PDS.

If I return home early, do I get any refunds on my premium?

No. If you do not know how long you will be travelling for, you can buy a policy for a specific period you know you will be definitely away. Before your policy expires, you will need to contact us so that your policy can be extended, if possible, for an additional premium. Please note that some policies do not allow extensions. For restrictions and limitations, please refer to the Extension of Cover section in your PDS.

What is a pre-existing medical condition?

They include conditions that have been treated in the past and may be currently stable but may be exacerbated by the travel. This may include conditions treated many years ago. Travel insurance only covers overseas medical events that are unforeseen. Medical conditions that were pre-existing at the time of the policy being issued are not covered, unless they are a condition that we expressly agree to cover.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition that is not covered, we will not pay any claims arising from, related to or associated with that condition. This means that you may have to pay for an overseas medical emergency which can be prohibitive in some countries.

If you click 'Yes' to having 'Pre-existing medical condition' our online pre-existing medical assessment will take you through the process. You should check the definition of pre-existing medical condition in the PDS to see if you have one. If you are still unsure, please contact us on 13 29 28.
